Certified Nursing Assistant Program (CNA)

The Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program employs the “objectives from the Arkansas LTCF nursing assistant training curriculum for all units of instruction.” To fulfill the requirements for state certification, the program will be a minimum of ninety (90) hours of training, consisting of a combination of classroom and clinical instruction.

Certified Nursing Assistant Program (CNA)

Instruction includes:
- Basic Nursing
- Basic Nursing Skills
- Emergency Procedures
- Respiratory and Urinary Systems
- Reproductive and Immune/Lymphatic Systems
- Activities of Daily Living
- Rehabilitation/Restorative Services
- Cognitive Impairment
- Mental Health and Social Needs
- Life Directives

Prerequisites:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum GPA: 3.0
- CPR Certification
- Letter of Recommendation

  -Specialization: Clinical Skills and Procedures
  -Bio: Professor Johnson is a registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). He has extensive experience working in various clinical settings and specializes in teaching clinical skills and procedures to aspiring nursing assistants.

Dr. Ashley Simpsons, RN, PhD
  -Specialization: Geriatric Nursing and Long-Term Care
  -Bio: Dr. Garcia is a registered nurse with a Doctorate in Nursing. Her research and clinical practice focus on geriatric nursing and long-term care, and she is passionate about educating future healthcare professionals in this specialized field.
